Are the 2 products similar ?

Yes, but I think SPM is better and cheaper after using Pureclean for a number of years I prefer SPM.
-
been using pure clean for a couple of years but im gonna change now because im fed up with it clogging the filter .

SPM can do that too unfortunately.

I find that when mixing powdered chemicals its always best to treat them a bit like when mixing gravy... i add the powder to boiling hot water in a mixing jug whilst whisking with a spoon or an old fork, this will help dissolve the powdered chemicals... works for me ;D

I think SPM has the edge on Pure Clean as it seems to work on a broader spectre of soils. Powerburst is the daddy tho.

Give SPM a go it's very good stuff, Russ is probably right and I'm a bit slapadash with my mixing. :)

wouldnt mind giving spm a go but its £70 + and only available in 15kg tub, does anyone know if it can be bought in lesser quantities?
-
You could always ring Nick and ask if he'll sell you a smaller sized sample.
But even if you can't get a smaller amount, I'd advise just get some, you won't be disappointed ;)

I have ordered both... never seen pure clean in action but i have seen SPM and it looks very good!
-
SPM should be mixed in warm water. If it is too hot most of the action will take place in a few seconds and it will not be as good as it should be.
I use a litre of hot tap water to dissolve the powder and then mix with cooler to 5 lts.
Don't bother with a sample just get a tub, you will not be disappointed.
