Hi lads
Had an argument ealier with the YP, they rang me to give me one days notice that I cant have the Warning advert, and that I must change it by 5pm. I have threatened to pull cos Im not happy with the notice given (cant re-design an advert in that time - and they wont let me have say 'caution' etc), and he couldnt guarantee that no other similar advert has slipped 'through the net'.
This is all becuase of their new so called policy, apparently no-one can have this type of fasttrack advert anymore (just the warning box). Has anyone had the same problems recently? and has Alltec had any response to this national advertising problem?
Just out of interest, I have booked 2 half pages with Thomsons who DONT have a problem at all with this type of advert.

Do some other advetising rather than warn about other carpet cleaners etc etc etc.
Get a life and make youself stick out from the rest. ;D ;D ;D

never had a problem using this ad, it works very well for me
i've used it for three years
p.s don't get a great response from thompsons or B.T book using same ad
for me yellow pages is head and shoulders above the rest,
including any internet ad

can anyone tell me what sort of responce they got from advertising in yp and was it worth what they paid, from what i was told, the price for advertising in the yp is a joke

I pay 250.00 per month for YP And brings in 300 t0 400 per week so i think it is worth it.
But you must remember it is all part off the bigger plan.
Forget to plan. plan to fail.

I spent £1600 + vat on my ad this year. If it brings in £1600 worth of business I will see it as a success - it's there purely to attact new customers. Once you have a happy new customer, he/she will recommend you to friends and family and you will get the repeat business too. Therefore £1600 of new customers in the long run is potentially worth tens of thousands of pounds.
