Been asked about pricing solar
Panels. How much should I charge per panel?
One site could be up to 500 panels!!
Thanks
-
I asked that question a couple of years ago and replies were averaging around the £5 mark per panel.
-
the ones i have done were quite low barn roofs and took less time then a window , so i would be happy witha quid a panel for easy access panels, as when ive done 20 panels it has been 20 od mins

talking to an installer last week. They said they pay £15 per panel.cleaning needs to be done twice a year to maintain optimum performance.
-
£15 per panel!! Retirement here I come!
Thanks

id say a con roof £5 ish per panel but solar panel id say around £10 per panel on a smaller job but maybe do them at a discount price per panel on larger panels - £7 or £8 say

Does a solar panel actually make £30 a year in profit?

If you pay for them yourself they make you about £1200 a year with the government feed in tarrif. There are companies that install them on your roof, let you use any lecy produced and take the feed in tarrif for themselves. They might be good companies to get in with as the more lecy produced the more they make.

a big problem with these is access you may get 1 or 2 jobs where it is easy but mainly they are going to be awkward to get to, i charge £10 per panel and tho i havent had much call for it yet the ones i have done have accepted that price, i believe its down to the way you sell the cleaning of them these things only need doing 2 times a year and the cleaner they are the more electric they will produce..

£15 a panel, bet people get loads of work, most propertys have about 10 of these, £150 for very little time, id say abot £4-£5 a panel

There have been stories in the paper about these not producing anywhere near the income that they are predicted to make. Some people say they are hardly getting anything and it revealed the companies are charging 4000% markup on what they get the panels for from China.
So I think interest in them will fade quite quickly or prices will have to come down a lot before they catch on. They will eventually because its basically a good idea.
