Title: New pole time. SLX or CLX or other ?
Post by: Ian101 on October 19, 2011, 06:36:33 pm: Currently have 2 poles CLX22 and CLX27.

The 22 is used for about 95% of my work but noticed that a 25SLX weighs same as a 22CLX so would do basically everything I currently clean.

Anyone switched from a CLX to a SLX and did u notice a difference ?

the looking after bit may be a problem as just use the CLX and forget about it

Post by: Lee GLS on October 19, 2011, 08:24:06 pm: Looking after a slx is the same as a clx, when it starts feeling gritty wash it out, I wouldn't say they need looking after more, if anything they need less because they are harder wearing, my brother clx which is the same age as my slx is knackered, where as my slx has stacks of life lest in it.

I'd agree with that.

My slx gets abused daily & doesn't require anything other than a good wipe down or flush out every now & then. I wipe the pole hose after every job though if the ground is wet.

Post by: Nathanael Jones on October 20, 2011, 08:19:44 am: The CLX is good, but the SLX is even better. The difference in weight is small but noticeable, but its the rigidity that really makes the difference. Defo worth spending the extra if you have it. ;)
