yeh its a brave new world out there!dont use your phone for checking your bank account!download free anti virus software and change your passwords regularly.i never use free wi fi as my data allowance on phone easily covers what i use.
mainly my phone is used for regular calls/text with the odd email which is great when your waiting for a delivery.occasionally i use it for surfing the web/taking pics.
are you living in fear?? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I dont have a smartfone mate as Ive had my phone for 7 years now as all I use it for is to make calls and send filthy texts to women.
every time I get an upgrade it goes straight on the bay, when you have a big willy you dont need an extention :D :D :D
-
it must be awful having to sell your upgrade to make ends meet mate!!
if you make a success of your window cleaning business then you ll be able to look back and laugh at things like this in a few years!! ;) ;D ;D ;D 8)

This is a non story. I mean come on, just look who's story it is? SKY ?
Sam Kiley, security editor
The world is facing a wave of cyber crime thanks in large part to our newly-found addiction to the smartphone.
Nothing to do with SKY's owners then , phew !! And i love this bit of scaremainering...........
He already knew my IP address, the unique address for my iPhone.
Jesus, i'd move house if anyone found out my IP address. How bads that, they got his own IP ?!!!
-
An IP address isn't unique to a device as they often change, a MAC address is unique to each Internet enabled device. So some of the facts in the article are wrong. I guess a smart phone in the hands of dimwit is a bad idea but if you know what you are doing then it should not be a problem.
The old adage is true, you don't get something for nothing. If your prepared to join every unlocked wifi network available then you have to be prepared to give away all your pass codes.
