Title: Open windows
Post by: Chris Cottrell on November 05, 2005, 08:39:41 pm
I'm now about to go down the WFP route
There's one thing that i'm still curious about .. What do you old WFP hands do about open windows
You cant carry on cleaning them with the water running inside the house

or do you..............?

if they open outwards like most do

then just take your time and clean them anyway

if the open inwards, just skip them

Modern double glazed windows are easy enough to close with the pole. I just use the back of the brush head to push close, as they are not held open.

Older windows are a different matter as they are held open. It just takes careful control & accuracy. I have never had any complaints (better not get one Monday now) The smaller top opening window can be kept open as it doesn't drip onto the lower part of the frame/window, so actually helps make the job easier & quicker.
Hope that helps. Welcome to Next Generation of Window Cleaning.

if your pole is fitted with an over head rinse dont use it on open windows cus you havent the control over the spray like you have with the brush only system.
