just thought it was funny, doesnt bother me.
love it when customers come up with daft reasons
-
aye it is funny, had a few over the years and it is amazing how many sons or mates of sons are going to do them, or the husband or the retired neighbour ;D
-
Strangest one I had was a lady who said her husband was ill, and he was going to do them!

I've lost two this year due to a son and a nephew starting up a window cleaning round.
They must think it's so smart taking the existing window cleaner's work. Yet in doing so, they possibly deprive themselves of good advice that could save them thousands - because I won't help someone who takes my work - simple really.

lost one last, night she said ill have to cancell i asked if every thing was alright she said ill tell you later ,as the kids are here ??? ??? but ill ring you when i want em doing

I had a woman say this to me a few years ago. she said her son had started up cleaning windows so she wont need me anymore.
I gave her a business card and said would you pass this onto him please, she said "oh why do you need some help or have you got work to give him."
I just said nethier, but there are so many cleaners round here now that when he gives up he might want to get rid of the half dozen jobs he manages to get.
If looks could kill ha ha. (never liked her anyway) ;D

i had one ages ago now, rang night before for gate to be told by husband not to bother anymore coz kids are ill with measles - i asked why this would affect the windows to be told "the curtains will be drawn so wont be able to see out of them anyway" !!! ;D you couldnt make it up it sometimes
-
Got a text today hi will not need you to clean our windows anymore as we have bought the kit and doing them ourselves .
-
I had that one years ago - the 'son will do them'.
Trouble was he's the laziest piece of poo in the area as far as I can tell (never out of bed at two in the afternoon when I was scrubbing the glass at their gaff).
Silly old fart/liar.
