Ok here we go, what is your average hourly turnover for one man on demomestics?
I work with the Mrs so i cant say what mine is as she is slower, but i would say around £40 per hour if i had to go alone
-
25-30 but i only work 9-2 most day
-
about 3.52 maybe 4 quid on a run

id say thats a good honest answer

About 2 cups an hour. More in winter, usually.

yes mate correct, anything between 15 to 40 an hour but 20 to 30 is probably closer to the norm.

watch out ,watch out, watch out
there is a tax man about! ;D
-
Watch out watch out
There's 2.5 million unemployed
-
well that ok trippy you only work 2/3 days a week :P :P :P :P :P
you havent asked this question now for over 6months are you getting worried someone earning more than you.
do you really think that you are going to get a honest answer on here, most wouldnt even know how to work out a hourly rate.
and it alright earning 40 a hr but not t leave spots on the windows. ;D :P
-
whatever you think your hourly rate is its a lot lower than you think.its misleading.
hourly rate "on the glass" or the whole time you spend on your business?
dont forget the filling up/messing with equipment, writing and printing invoices/worksheets,collecting,canvassing etc ,etc.
take your earnings over the course of a year minus expenses and tax and itll be a lot lower than you think.
no holiday/sick pay.days off for bad weather.you know the score.
window cleaning as a sole trader is a good job for an uneducated, unemployable guy like me who loathes the thought of working 5 days a week for someone else!but lets not get carried away!!
its ok but none of us will become millionaires doing this job!!it gets tedious and boring as well at times and its hard work!! ;D ;D ;D ;D
it also takes years to develop a good solid round that you can rely on to give you a half decent income.
saying all that i love it and ive managed to make a good steady income out of it.

Spot on. If most of the windies in my town are on £40 an hour - how come they are so scruffy and live in poor areas?
I would say ninety percent of them are driving about in fiestas or mondeos and seem to have very little money.
I am van and wfp and look the part, however, if you could see my costs and tax at the end of the year then you wouldn't be bragging on a forum about it.

Errrm.....
There are quite a lot of people who have become millionaires doing this job. Scott Young for a start (he may be dead by now) but he founded SYR. Craig Mawlam can't be far off, unless he has already achieved it and there's Alex Gardiner - maybe not there yet but I'll guarantee he will be eventually

Ah...the things that could have been if WFP had been invented a few years earlier...
But still plenty of time for some of you guys
-
I know six different millionaires who made their money in window cleaning.
-
i dont think there is any guys that have become millionares just window cleaning!!maybe selling equipment and branching out into other cleaning services but not just window cleaning.its just not possible.

It is if you charge the right money, and employ the right staff
