Hi everyone just wondered if anybody has or does use the ashbys enforcer 600psi porty was thinking of getting one and just wanted to know if its the right choice cheers craig

From what I can see its a Ninja with a more powerful pump and a new body. I've only ever used the ninja so I cant compare with anything else but I find it very good. I think if I was looking for a new machine now though I would consider a Jag or a storm. There are probably better machines than the Enforcer for the money. However I'm still not decided about the lift vs Cfm thing the jag and storm seem to give the best of both worlds.

Can definately recommend the storm i bought one the other week and although i wasnt that impressed when just putting my hand over the end of the vac hos and comparing it to the ninja in real term use there is no comparison in the suction airflow and overall performance.
Even if it costs a bit more it is well worth the extra investment especially if these new vac motors prove to be more reliable long term and you also get an 800 psi pump and the storm is a lot easier access for repairs.
The casing is just hinged forward and the vacs and pump are there on a base plate.

Both are good machines im sure ... i think i would pick the storm , but what figures do you look at to come to the above conclusion , please post a link to where you saw the lift and cfm data .

sorry not sure how to post a link. I hope that worked.
-
yes i got it ....
the cfm is quoted for parallel and correct or there abouts ... 298
The lift is quoted for series ...263
The machine can only be one or the other ... it is parallel
lift is half whats quoted there .ie . 130
You have been deceived !
This is what started this whole nonsence about ' super vacs '
-
What do you think is better john more lift or more cfm. Obviously both is best, but if you had to choose?
-
Think you're wrong about your thoughts on " super vacs "...................the new vac's have been around for at least a year possibly two and were fitted to the extremely powerful Savage Electric T/M'S with exceptional results.
Why would suppliers fit these in place of a very old design if they were not superior ?
Another more powerful vac' motor has replaced the original in the Craftex machines and is apparently rear enough as powerfull as the previous twins.
Evolution happens and to assume that electric power can never equal that developed by an internal combustion engine is blinkered to say the least.
If you want an idea of what electric power can do look for the performance spec's on the latest electric supercars which I believe can leave any modern " supercar " standing.

Im all for electric :)
' Super vacs ' is reference to what some folk here called the 6.6 after reading the
misleading data .
the savage and nordic1 truckmounts both used twin 7.2 vacs , hardly huge performance ... but when it was put to him on a US forum he questioned the need to have more performance to simply extract ... and he may well have a point ...
the switch to 6.6 is partly because they perform well ( im not saying they dont )
and because they draw less amps than the 7.2 used ... low amp draw is desirable in the US because they draw twice as many amps per watt at 120v as we do at 230 ...
When the misleading data was first posted on the cross american site ... people logically thought the twin 6.6 had high lift and cfm ... the best of both worlds ..almost truckmount like figures ...
so main rivals Mytee posted a video on you-tube with its test results for twin 6.6 vs 5.7 .... cross american has not responded ... check it out ...

hi ... i think almost all new twin vac machines are parallel now , thats what i'd choose .... as for which one , there is little performance difference between any new twin vac machine .... so if i was choosing ..i'd be looking at things like features and weight , think i'd pic the one i'd get the best deal on :)

There still seems to be some difference of opinion between the parallel and series motor set up though. Ashby's, CFR, and powrflight all use a series set up still, and the others use parallel. As I said I've never used any other set up than series but I would like to see what the difference is. If there is any real tangible noticeable difference to speed of work while maintaining good drying times. If it were the case it would be worth changing the motor configuration around.
-
All I know is, I am getting carpets drier than ever with the new Jag and dozens of new owners agree.
I don't really care what the bloke on the Mytee YouTube video found, boring...
I guess Cross America find the Mytee results too insignificant to even bother responding...
The proof's in the pudding.... ;)

Ok .. i'v only used two parallel and three parallel ... i cant comment on series if iv never tried it , perhaps someone else will ... pros and cons to both id say ...
Colin ... Stockholm Syndrome ;D

I think you're the one suffering from Stockholm Syndrome.... ;)
Only thing is, we haven't got a clue who your captors are.... ???
-
Andy Locke are you still using your Prowler?
Shaun
-
Yes shaun i am using the storm as a backup mate.
-
I bought a Jag for the same reason, very impressed for a thing with a plug on the end ;D
Shaun
-
It would be interesting to eventually see the 2 side by side shaun but there basicaly the same spec so i calnt really see there being any real difference in performance. :)

Just the price!
Shaun
-
Shaun dont think there is much in it price wise because isnt the jag price machine only ?
The price for the storm includes vaccum and solution hoses a wand with glide remote control etc. I said i didnt need any of them so it cost me 3K with the vat.
I think the jag is 2600 exlusive of vast isnt it therefore more?

Hmm ... wondering why people would choose the Storm over the airflex turbo ....
The turbo has more CFM and its cheaper :)

I was pulling your leg Andy ;D
