Title: VW Transporter model
Post by: Glen on October 11, 2011, 12:56:46 pm
Still looking for a van... Can't find a reasonable Toyota Hiace so now looking at VW Transporter.

An auction has some VW Transporter T32 102Ps 1.9TDi LWB vans going through next week http://www.usedcarsni.com/79714687

Has anyone got / used this model? I want it for WFP, gutter vac, pressure washer, generator etc

Thanks in advance.

Thanks. Have you had problems with the flywheel?

Also, is it better than the Vivaro etc?

Turning circle on the lwb isnt brilliant but cheap to run and service. Reliable and good resale value.

Got a Trafic and Master, got a Vivaro, got two Ducatos, no real problems with any of them.  Mates got a VW Transporter, been in the garage 4 times in two years.

I decided not to get a transporter for my next van after researching how reliable they are. Not very reliable it seems. Do a google search first. I was shocked how many problems they can develop.

early transporters had a few teething problems

Mine as been brilliant, had it 4 years now, still worth £9k

Got 2 Trafics, 2 years old, slight alarm problem and door handle problems

Renault Kangoo, 1 year old, Clutch failed after 20k

and 2 peugeot Bippers 6 months old, no probs yet, one has already completed 20k miles

What size tanks in the Bippers Dave ?

Think payload is about 550 to 600 kg ?

Would anyone like to suggest how much these might sell for? Also, should they be a good buy as very few motorways in N.Ireland http://www.usedcarsni.com/79714687
