Jason,
Did the three calls today result purely from your ad on Ebay ?

What I do not like is when you find Multiple Listings of the same advert in The Carpet Cleaning Section.

The only thing I don't like about it is the concept of Ebay is selling by price, all the adverts are enticing customers with a low price ( I don't see any adverts saying carpet cleaning £60 ) and when you look further most are listing suite cleaning at £65ish.

Also because of the national nature of Ebay they have to advertise a large area, I personally would'nt want to travel 'upto 30 miles'

what market are they aiming for, people who buy on the lowest price or the higher end of the market.

I'm sure its a workable marketing tool and people will have success with it but its not for me

have had 235 worth of work in the week since i started,   so worth it i would say, the prices are quoted for short term apointments in order to fill time ,, that is why the prices are lower.

Mike, To be honest i just put it on quickly not thinking it would work but ive had 5 enquiries and booked 3, ive also been told off by e-bay as apparently its agaisnt the rules, but they havent taken it off!  Ive had to drop my prices as work really slowed down and i need to think about xmas! But saying that my girlfriend put a notice on her work intranet (council) 3 days ago about my services and ive had 22 calls in the past 2 days and booked them all!

As i see it the more adverts there are pricing suites for £65 the public will start to think that is the Market price

£65 is cheap. I priced for a protected clean at £30 per seating space for 2 doubles today and the lady told be that she was charged £240.
