Title: Water Filteration
Post by: Ian Gourlay on October 10, 2011, 11:25:41 am
Mike Halliday  published a post on an inline filter so truckmount could be used to pre vac.

Someone asked if it was suitable for portable and Jim Niel suggested using a dust downer or water filter adaption.

Ashbys have sold these for years but they never appear to have caught on judging from posts on Forum . Preference being given to a separate Vaccum cleaner.

I also remember being at an Alltec event where they said they invented one but it never caught on not talking about Neptune

Does the Water Filtration method do an inferior job or shorten life of motors

injecting water into the vacuum hose gives 100% filtration, also when connected to a pro portable it gives the best suction available (apart from when using a T/M)

and you don't need to carry an extra piece of kit.

I've got the ashbys vac thing. It works well however don't use it. Its got two problems one is if you work as a two man team and don't have a separate vac the extractor cant be used while someone is vacuuming. The other is vacuuming uses water which unless you have auto fill takes up extra filling time not to mention acid rinse if you need to split the job up. Other wise its excellent.

If any one wants one I've got one.

I’ve got the Ashby’s dust downer coupled with the numatic turbo brush (haven’t used it that often 8years ago I think) good bit of equipment. haven’t tried it with the TM yet!

Got a village hall to do in a few weeks got me thinking pre spay and turbo brush/dust downer if it works may have a tm4 for sale
