Last year was doing city centre store , both vans parked up doing job , had one of the parking enforcement vans go past , he got me for both vans , tickets for both soon came through the post !
Can i claim this as it was a direct cost to me for doing my work ?
Thanks Rich

Sounds unfair to me. :( If you have van mounted systems, you should have appealed.
Don't know if you can claim the fines as an expense, I doubt it though.

Don't know mate but I am surprised you got done as we have been clocked by these stupid muppets loads of times being parked illegally while working but have never received a ticket!!!!
Maybe he didn't like the colour of your van!!??

We've been told that as long as our back doors are open we're ok because it's classed as loading. :)

Same ere we always have warning cones out and hose reels out in areas they operate in so thay can see we are working.
But we still do that when we are not working and need somewhere to park for lunch ;D ;D ;D

But the van wasnt pink then Stu , he just didnt like me i think >:(

to me it looks like you have just parked up and aint working, that is why you probably got the ticket, thsi is one of the reasons i dont take on jobs where i cant park properly

OK , you got me , but still £70 is a bit steep for 2 sausage and egg mcmuffins ;D ;D ;D
Rich
I await your "SERVES YOU RIGHT" remarks :P

could of been worse, could of been per van

no you can't put it through the books, you can put parking tickets through but not parking fines.
same as bank charges can go through but not unauthorised charges for being overdrawn etc
