I did a Fascias and Soffits clean the other day and although i got the dirt off ok, i was left with some really nasty looking stains, crusty like limescale. Used my normal TFR but couldn't budge it?! Anyone experienced this? I must have done at least 50 of these type jobs, but never had one like this??

Was it Lichen?

I've had those stains, nothing seems to shift it including Viakal.

Not sure what Lichen is? if it is, what shifts it? I'll try and get some pics of it on here!

Lichen is a crusty fungus usually a grey or green colour.
Quite common on conservatory roofs but not seen it on fascias before.
As I say im not sure if thats what you have got on the fascia but on conservatory roofs you need to give it a good soaking with plenty of tfr and it takes loads and loads of scrubbing with a mono brush to remove it.

its not lime scale as lime scale will just rub off.The are many deposits in water calcium, nitrates ect.try adding borax to the cleaning you would normally use its a power and a few spoons should do the trick if you soak it.Brush with a stiff brush and rinse with pure.
