Does anyone work WFP out of a small van / car derived van. I currently have a clio van and wondered what sort of size tank you could get in (250 ltr)?? Also, those who have a 250 ltr system, how many houses do you reckon you do on a full tank??
-
I think 125 ltrs maybe the max on that size - measure the opening and floor area and see if a 250 will fit - check your
payload max as well 250 ltrs = 250 kg
when i had 250 in the combo i could do about 8 very large houses or 15 small semi types - depends on weather they had conny etc...
changed to 400 ltr tank and now that is too small - just got a new van with 1000 ltr capacity ;D

yea i got a fiesta 35 and get 250 in it, and can go most of the day, but that is when i use jets and extreme wide, if i use pencils, run out, but i only work 9-2 and do around 20 a day, all these are maintence cleans, it is all about using your water properly
-
my first concern would be is it secured down correctly ??? personaly i would get a van with a half decent pay load and bolt it to chassis im paranoid a bout saftey i have a 350ltr in a dispatch bolted down inform yur insurance as well cos thy cn get a bit funny and try to wriggle out of paying if owt where to happen they as been a few posts on this
-
i carry ten 25ltr cannisters in the back of my astra estate & backpack & di vessel on backseat ( 2 dogs in there an all ) they always do till i get to an outside tap & sometimes they do full day. but then i only need di round my way

Is a Fiesta 35 a van?

What have you got in there then? Containers or a tank?
-
250 flat tank
-
And you can fit everthing in comfortably? Just been looking at a 206 van setup on Ebay, 250 tank fits fine, bit cramped with everything else though!
-
I picked up a 250 tank in my old clio 3 door last year with seats down, sat in very comfortably.
-
Think i'll start looking for a 250 tank then. If anyones got any pics of their setups (small van/car derived preferably) then that would be great!!!
-
yea i got tank in, 2 di vessels pump, run off car battery and reel is on top of tank,
-
Did you know the payload for the fiesta is 394 KG :-[

i have a kangoo with a payload of 625kg.350L TANK.it does me fine.some days i could do with an extra 50L but i usually end up tradding the ground floor windows on my last few accounts if my waters running low.
if your only planning on getting a 250L TANK then i think you should just wfp the tops then your water should last all day.
-
|I just go home and refill a small tank.HAVE A STATIC TANK AT HOME.
-
yes i do, it is all just under, as i never have more than a quarter of avtank of fuel
-
I've been looking on here and decided that a DI system is what i will need (due to being in a flat) and was wondering what exactly i will need? Going to use a 250ltr tank, what size vessel will i need, whats the best resin, how long will it last me?? Questions Questions!! If anyone has got some pics or diagrams that would be cool 8)

dazmond is the guy to ask on this mate, hes very clued up on saving water etc and he went from barrels to tank so will have vast knowledge on the subject
-
Step forward Dazmond. I assume that i will need to take a TDS reading first to see what the waters like in my area?!
-
Find out ur tap tds.buy a tds meter!
Buy a 25l vessel and a bag of tulsion mb115 from pure freedom.
Connect up with some hose and fill up barrels or tank.
Also I would buy a small vessel for fillin up on the job.say a 2.7 l.you can also use this is tandem with the bigger vessel when the tds rises in the big one.its a very simple process.
Off to work now.ill post more later. ;)

i used to have a astravan with a 210l tank in it, with a low flow rate about 30 on the purefreedom controller and aqua dapter i could do quite a few houses, payload was about 550kg, defo wouldnt like to use a small car style van, my astravan was a bit cramped
this pic was when i first kitted it out with the purefreedom diy 250l tank kit, i changed the tank to a 210 not long after bette size
