Title: Barter Card
Post by: james roffey on October 08, 2011, 05:52:11 pm
Anyone been a member of Barter card if so what were your experiences, i had a customer recently ask if i was a member and last week had the salesman ring me, i dont know exactly how it works he is coming round next week for a chat  ::)  but he will do well to make me part with a penny as i am very sceptical and dont like pushy salesmen,  particularly interested in guys who have used this, negative and even positive if they exist !

HI James

Dont know if you had read this link

http://www.bartercard.co.uk/how-bartercard-works/how-to-buy-and-sell

Seems a bit coincidental you got a phonecall prior to the rep coming round.
I will watch this with interest  ;)

Hi James,

Basically you work for virtual pounds (Barter Pounds) so if your clean is £75 you 'earn' B£75 to be redemmed against a product beneficial to yourself, i.e printing is the great example reps use.

However, even though against Barter rules if you order printing etc many firms simply double the price and say ''i'll do it 50% Barter''.

Also for Barter to make money it costs you something like 5% in cash for them to authorise the deal.

I know the guy very well who had the brokeridge in York, now closed down.

Bargepole springs to mind.
