Title: Strange sight.
Post by: mlscontractcleaner on October 07, 2011, 10:21:46 pm
As I turned in to a street, heading towards a social club I clean I spied another window cleaner cleaning a few of the newly built three story houses on the opposite side of the road.

He was busy cleaning the upper floors with WFP and though slightly interested in who he was as I'd never seen him before I carried on cleaning the social club and one of the new houses on my side of the road.

As I was packing away I noticed that he'd finished the top two floors and was now cleaning the ground floor windows and doors with one of those big blue rolls of tissue. I couldn't believe it as I watched him mop the windows and then tear off pieces of tissue to dry and polish the gless and frames. No squeegie was used, just blue tissue :o!!

Personally I'd have been more than happy to do the lot with WFP but obviously I'm missing something, blue tissue is the way to go ;)!!

Very strange ;D

Squeaky told me a long while back that he watched a lad clean the windows of a child care place with a T bar and squeegy, and then scrim all the windows by hand - like 'polishing them off'.

Very strange.  ;D

We had a couple of guys working together here who used that blue paper roll stuff to detail. Good entertainment. ;D

One of my customers got her cleaner to clean the inside of the windows because she doesn't like what I charge her (I suspect).  Her cleaner used a green scrubby cloth for burnt cooking pots and scratched a lot of windows using it; some really badly.

That'll teach 'er for being tight!  ;D

Nothing to worry about Tacky. It's a piece of kit that used to stop anybody just starting up a window cleaning business. You needed a bit of skill to use it properly and work a few feet off the ground.

That's how I clean the windows of the local Lap Dancing Club.  ;D
I only do the job during the hours of darkness but for some reason it seems to take me ages, especially when Big Bertha is on the stage  :D
