Title: towing weight

does anyone happen to know, I have a citroen Berlingo van with 600kg payload, the manufacturers recommendation for towing a braked trailer is 1100kg, is this additional to the payload of the van?

In adition but inclusive of the GVM (gross Vehicle Mass)
