hi, just started a new office contract, trouble is the main office has laminate flooring and there are a hell of a lot of blak scuff amrks from shoes on it.

tried simply rubbing them off, but no good, tried mopping and sparaying hard surface cleaner still no good.

Any one got any ideas as my custy wants rid and i have drawn a blank.

Try using a solvent based product this should remove the rubber/leather black marks.

Try a product called De-solve it - you can get this from supermarkets, brill for this type of thing but make sure you rinse it off thoroughly.

hi there,

is there anyway the laminate floor has been sealed, if so the black marks could be under the seal.

Try one of the sponges with a white scourer (non scratch??) and rub gently on the mark. Sometimes using water and cleaning fluid will not touch it.

Hi Jan

The white scourer is NON-SCRATCH. We also use these on stainless steel sinks etc.....they come up a treat. Ask your local cleaning supplier about them.

Besides, laminate flooring is just a photograph of wood grain, and using these scourers will do no damage especially if used lightly.

Infact, i have used the ordinary scourers with white spirit to remove glue from old tape marks from NEW laminate flooring without scratching.....much. However, I would not recomend using those type on the flooring, but would the NON ABRASIVE ones.

Thanks for having faith in me Jan   ;D

Tim

P.S I was thinking just the other day that there are not many of us left on the forum that were here when I started about 15 months ago.....only a few old favourites left. Most are newbees.

All the defectors to the other site are slowly comeing back. Shame, I'm allergic to most of them :P

have you tried the flash white blocks??? DREADFUL, should be banned, the owner of a local nightclub swears by them and told me to clean the walls with one, it stripped the paint. I also used one on a laminate floor and it left horrible marks, I've now binned them.
haven't come across non-scratch scotchbtrite yet.
