Title: making a super-max longer

hi as any one tryed to add extra sections on to a super-max 45 with maybe
the the superlite xtreme sections or the other super-max sections ,pricing a new job up
at the moment but not sure how much extra height i need

This is certainly possible. The Super-Max45 is an 8 section pole so to start with you would need a No.9 section (from a SMAX50) this would give you and extra 5'6". If you did need to go higher then an Xtreme extension section will then slide on to the No.9 section and give you and extra 5ft. I would not recommend adding more than a No.9 section and one extension for the sake of rigidity.

i bought the extension works great just dont over extend like i did hasnt got the stop tape and i heard an almighty cracking sound lol whoops

thanks for that alex will you not need to buy the no 8 section as well or can you just take the
rubber protection of the bottom had a look at the job today thoose section look like
the only sections i will need thanks again

Technically the most rigid and correct solution would be to buy the 8 and 9 from a Super-Max50 and replace the handle section on the 45 as you say.  However, it is possible to remove just the end cap and slide the #9 section over the #8.  You then end up with two insulated handle sections.  This would be a fractionly less rigid solution due to slightly lower carbon content.  However, it should be perfectly manageable still.
