Just thought i would share this with those of you who may me interested...
(http://www.killiskleaners.co.uk/components/com_virtuemart/show_image_in_imgtag.php?filename=resized%2FGreenspeed_Scrub_4e8d7f4834d6a_200x200.jpg&newxsize=200&newysize=200&fileout=)
Just purchased a "Greenspeed scrub pad" to use for agitating my presprays.
Just tried it out on a white polyprop carpet with light soil and it works a treat compared to a standard microfibre bonnet.
The stripes you see are nylon and help to give the pad a bit more ooommph and they do lift the pile.
I finished the carpet off with a standard microfibre pad... im impressed

What size and where from russ?

Hey Ash
I could only get 17" but i can share them with my 17" truvox.
I sprayed the pad first to lube it as well as the carpet.
Get them here :

Was it the Numatic you tried it with? I'm still dubious about buying 17" pads for my 15" rotatary - but perhaps I'm being silly.

Just make sure that the pad is lubricated with pre spray, keep it moving and i would avoid using it on a deep pile, this may be too much for the little 400w motor i have both 13" brushes coming as well to try out. the polyscrub and nyloscrub.
Will need to bed the polyscrub brush in before using it on a carpet though.
You do notice a difference in torque when using a larger pad, i am waiting to hear back from the suppliers about a 15 " version

I've only had small dealings with them, but I did find 2 of the guys there very helpful - I think it was father and son. The old man is a bit of a character lol
-
Yer.. speak to a guy called Imra.. he knows lots about pads etc... he is in the process of looking into finding a similar pad in 15"
-
Ash I only bonnet clean, and use 17 inch pads with 15 inch machine every day
go for it....

Am i right in saying that you can agitate pre spray on low profile commercial carpet with a white scrubbing pad on your rotary ?
Ben.
-
I personally don't Ben so cannot answer that.
I use the stripy pads or a shampoo brush to agitate....
Never used a scrub pad

Ben if you mean the hardfloor white pad then yes you can.

Hi Steve
Lets not get confused with the scrub pads made for hard floors, the green pad is soft and is designed for carpets. It has nylon strips which look like little brushes so they really help to brush the carpet fibres.
To give you an example i tried a standard white MF pad and all it did was flatten the pile, the green pad actually made the fibres stand up and actually cleaned the carpet as it was working in the pre spray.
I followed up the extraction with a skim over with a white pad to help dry the carpet.

Ben
The white pads can be used with encap products successfully but a bit too smooth for agitating.
-
Then maybe a red hard floor pad ?
just trying to refrain from having to buy a shampoo brush for agitating on the rotary.
Ben.
