I'm looking for a new vacuum and was going to get a BS36 but the Dart appears to have the same vac motor and separate brush motor. Has anyone got one or tried both? The Dart is considerably cheaper but will this reflect in its functionality? (usually does)
Opinions welcome.

the dart will not last anywhere near as long as a bs36 or 46, the motors wear out quicker and are not as powerful. False economy I'm afraid, and this is from someone who buys the cheapest of anything if possible.

As above.

I love em!
Just keep filters tip top, they are very sensitive machines.
Easy to move around, oh the cables always go at the handle end but its an easy fix.
Just my opinion. ;)

I've got a Flexi 5 and wouldn't mind something a bit smaller but a CRB type machine instead of a standard hoover.

get a felix exactly the same as the dart but much cheaper. I find the dart/felix more powerful than the bs36 but not as robust.

John, and Paul.
How long have you had yours, and how oftoen do they get used?

I've had mine a few years now.....since the came on sale in the u.k. used daily. but I have 2 vans with a vac in each so i would say each sebo is used 2 1/2 days a week.

Used them for 2 years
Just bought my own and being used quite heavily daily, with a fresh bag in its unbeatable. BUT put a big cable tie on the cable at the handle end, enivitably the wire gets trapped under feet and after a while it comes loose otherwise.

I have had mine around 5 yrs.
Take the brush unit off the motor unit in the van to save it being pulled about, also better off on stairs.

My sebo dart arrived today. I'm very impressed its light easy to use and very powerful. I would highly recommend it to any one looking for an upright. I wouldn't recommend the hand power brush thing though that's rubbish.
Thanks for all the recommendations.

Put the power brush on a vax tub vac or henry something like that and they work great
