Title: Why advertise when out of stock ?
Post by: wpclean on October 04, 2011, 11:40:06 pm
Why do companies advertise products when they do not have them in stock ?

They get my interest and I do the maths and I try to make an order and . . . . . . the product they are advertising is not in stock !

Its called dropshipping. You tend to find most companies do it now to save on storage costs, and reduce stockpile liability.

So anyone really can sell on a dropship basis. You sign up a dropshipping deal with your wholesaler, put the catalogue online via your own company, the customer pay you first for the products, the wholsaler instead of shipping to your warehouse where you stock it for weeks or months and then sell, just ship it direct to your customer, wich can take up to 28 days.

You can make a lot of money out of dropshipping, as u have no overheads, and make all the profits.
