Could you POSSIBLY be constructive in your criticism? I would like to know of your negative experiences, so I and others can avoid the pitfalls of this terrible in-line-filter.

not wanting to hijack the thread but over the last 10yrs I'd say I've had 5 or 6 of the plastic pool filters...... they never last, usually within 6 months the hinge breaks ( i notice they have now changed the design to a screw lid because of this design flaw)
the inlet & outlet is too narrow not a problem with portables or smaller truckmounts but anything bigger and it restrict airflow which is why in the USA they sell a conversion kit to widen the openings,
the sock filter which comes as standard becomes clogged after a very short while.
I could go on about why I believe they are crap but I can't be arsed...... but after having so many (as they were the only thing available) I think my opinion is valid
in the end I was so sick of them I pad H/M nearly £400 to make me a custom metal filter box which until I bought the far, far superior lint hog I used daily
