Title: Steam Cleaning Carpets

I have been asked to quote for steam cleaning carpets in communal areas in a block of flats.  I have never steam cleaned carpets and i have been told by a few people that you have to beware of shrinkage with steam cleaning.  Does that sound a possibility and how would you know if it would shrink ???
