Title: My Cleaning Company from a newbie
Post by: M Walker on October 28, 2005, 07:10:48 pm
Hi all I have been a member on this forum since July when I made the break from my previous employer to set up my own company. I had previously worked as a Manager for a reasonably large contract cleaning company in the eight years I had worked for them the company continued to expand however the burden upon myself just increased and my employer would not listen to my constant requests for support and maybe a better financial reward. I informed him in December that if he could not see fit to help me in these areas that I would leave him however his responce was the same as always you wont leave you have been here to long. Surprise Surprise I left in June incorporated my Company in July started proper trading in September. I have one major school contract a few offices and a few other nice bits plus my daytime stuff I still get on fine with my previous employer and this week we ended up quoting for the same job. I told him my price and he said he would price it identical however he remarked that he would still get the job based on his long standing reputation. I got the job yesterday. I suppose there is a morale to this story if you have a good employee who works hard for your company look after them or you will lose them I am not employing at present but this month turned 3k through my accounts not much for some of you guys im sure but pretty good for a new company dont you think?
