my 18ft slx is about 2 1/2 years old now, and is getting a little bit tired , clamps dont clamp too well at the bottom.
so im thinking of buying another, but thought theres a few occasions when the 18ft aint quite long enough for awkward windows etc, but seems a pain to get the slx 30 out.
so do you lot find that the 22ft slx is as easy to work with all day as the 18ft,
your thoughts please....

I have a 22' CLX and will go for the 25' next time. Many on here work day in day out with one.

id prefer to get the slx30 out for the odd window than carry round extra weight which will hardly ever be used

Hi steven i have the 18 ft slx and like you just was not long enough so i went for the clx22 and i'm glad i did i use it all day every day now and would buy another one tomorrow.

I've used a 25ft slx as my everyday pole for over 4 years! It does 90% of my work & the Xtreme 55 does the rest. I use it with a swivel & have no bother using it all day at all. ;)

ive just got a clx 27ft been working all week with it and found it a doddle after using a 18 foot glass fibre pole so impressed ive just ordered a 18 ft clx happy days
-
got both the slx 22 is a better pole ;)
-
I think im leaning towards the 22ft slx ???
-
I use a SLX 25 great pole reaches almost all of my work, its nearly 18 months old and still going strong :)
-
I think that the disadvantage of the slx 22 is not so much weight but more the diameter of the biggest section. But 22 ft is a nice length to have doing pretty much most domestic work.
Simon.

Is it you who did the video on youtube regarding the 18ft and 25ft slx xtreme, if so I watched it today and very good video :)

I have an SLX22 and I run it as an SLX18 and just add the last section when I need to.

25' extreme for me all day every day. ;)

25ft SLX with aqua-daptor,flipfast and SL DT FLOCKED.use this for all my work.saves getting another pole out of the van or adding sections.light, strong and rigid.i have got a 22ft clx but its never used these days.its my emergency pole but its not a patch on the slx for rigidity and strength IMO.
my next pole will be a 25ft extreme although i expect my SLX to last at least a couple of years!!
its ease of use is fantastic esp over deep extensions and conny roofs.

is the extreme really that better than the slx upto 18 - 22ft? thanks m

Yes and no. It's a better pole no doubt but a lot more money.
You won't go wrong with an SLX
I have both but rarely use the SLX. Extreme is another small step to perfection but not a giant leap at 25' in my opinion.
