Title: Footwear Dr martins vs goretex?
Post by: brianbarber on September 23, 2011, 08:27:17 pm
Silly one, but are there any shoes that are as good as say goretex trainers?
the trainers look so trashed after a weeks wear,
Maybe doc martins or similar if suitable, you can polish up?

I keep saying this but nobody seems to listen. Black Rock boots sold by toolstation and others. The cheapest is only £15. Brilliant boots, warm, dry, well made and very hard wearing. Mine are worn daily and for walking the dogs and they are well over a year old. Why pay more?

Vince I'll try them next.

As for Dr Martens I have a pair at the moment and they are the only pair of boots I have ever had that have lasted for more than 6 months without leaking etc, over 18 months and still going, not the cheapest but better than buying cheap ones that only last a few months

Ive got some doc martens boots.  Cost 130 quid but they come with a lifetime guarantee.  Very comfy, keep your feet warm.  No brainer as far as im concerned.  As long as dr martens dont go under i never need to buy boots again
