what is involve din the set up of it? my system is a van mount and want to know how this is all set up and what you need to get for the install
-
I think it's an L5 heater from the States.
-
Water in water out, and a gas supply. Some means of venting it. That's about it. Probably need to upgrade the hose to reel.
-
Water from pump in water out from heater and gas and no u don't need change hose or reelvery simple to do
-
just got my fogwash set up hose in hose out gas, batteries in turn on water and it fires up. very easy.
-
what ye do if pump is frozen? this not render the boiler part useless? up here last year everything was freezing in the vans
-
Lag the pump or make it quick release and take it in house
-
Heater would normally be fitted after the pump so won't thaw it out.
-
Get a frost stat and set system up on a loop, so when it hits the low temps, the heater kicks in, as does the pump, and keeps warm water flowing in a circuit through the entire system.
-
What is a frost stat and where can i buy one??? also can i include my ro and prefilters in the loop?
and do you need to vent it straight up through the roof or can you have a side vent?
-
A frost stat is a device that cuts your pump in when te temperature reaches your desired minimum, and cuts it off when it reaches your desired cut off again.
We have one fitted to our transit and it saved us so many days last year simply by leaving it on overnight, and as soon as it dropped below 4 degrees it cut in, fired up the heater, and trickled warm water round the system. Once the temp raised in the morning, it had cut off, system ready to rock, and tank full of warmish water.
Got mine from Poseidon products, you will have to google them.
-
so basically if pump freezes you are still goosed.
-
No, as the pump is circulating warm water.
-
Concept, you got a flue through the roof then? Which one?
