Hi,I'm looking for some advice in pricing 2 floors of an office i went to look at today......here is the details and total windows involved
42 three sided wall internal windows total (5ft by 3ft ish each win)
38 internal office partition windows total (5ft by 2/3ft ish each win) both sides
Here is what i have come up with so far
42 times £3=£126
38 times £3=£114.......................total price £240
the price i have come up with includes petrol and travel, its about half hour journey there and same back from home so one hour total,i think i can get the job done in one day and its pretty much what i work earn in a day,i'm thinking should i reduce price or do you think its quite competitive and i have a chance at getting it,all comments welcome....
Thank you

Andy - Is this a 1 off of regular cleaning service ?
on my experience with commercial that will be too high if regular - they would prob. want it done for 1/2 that
as a one off then go for it i take it there will be 2 of you so would expect to have this completed inside 3 hrs ?

maybe I am reading this wrong but I don't think you are anywhere near a competitive price, and I don't think it would take a day either, it is only 80 windows or even with 38x both sides is 74 plus 42=116 windows, surely not a days work, with the internal tish, get it clean then keep clean with micro floor mops and alternate what gets washed on a monthly basis

Hi darren, its a one off clean to start with but the lady i am dealing with i know and she said they would be looking at having 2 floors done each time with there being 8 floors in total so 4 times a year if you get me,i told her if this is the case in future i would reduce the price accordingly to say maybe £200 a time what do you think? also it will just be myself cleaning
-
Hi stu i think it would take me around 5 hours to do,and with my travel an hour plus thts pretty much my day done, what do you think is a price to put to them then?
-
It's not really my area as i only do office stuff as a last resort and for those who want to pay for a good quality clean - not a quick dash round with a damp cloth....
i would suspect as Stu has said it's on the high side - i reckon they would be wanting it done for around £100
the best example i can give is an office i quoted - 48 windows in/out plus resturant area and 10 internal doors over 2 floors on a monthly service was won (not by me - who quoted £110) for £65.00

sorry now I get the picture, I still don't think it will take as long as you think, I have just read your last reply ;)
your price could be ok for your part of the country but I would still think a lot less, ton at the most

anyway don't mind me smudger is right put a price in you are happy with and if you get it bonus

ah but tomorrow I will earn £100 in 2 and and half hours and the forecast is heavy rain all day ;)
I am not knocking the OP price, just the time to do it ;)
ok I will not get paid for a while but I will be paid

;D ;D ;D ;D
I do see both sides Stu Mac , and thankyou for not ripping my swede off !
I used to do a lot for Mr Morris , it was great for a few years , we had the bad weather , i worked and got paid , it was money coming in , but it took a tole on me that i dont want to repeat , dont get me wrong , i can do the earlys as i used to be a baker , but alongside all the other stuff when you get home it just became too much for me , we now have 3 little monkeys and i need to be around more .
In my eyes , the commercial is only worth having if its your own and pays very well .

Commercial work is for people who will do as, and when, and what is required for prestige
Domestic is for people who have a lifestyle and can keep that, and live stress free :P
