Title: leaking tank

just put new 400ltr tank in pickup today and put so much water in i have fitted the elbow and wrapped PTFE tape around thread and tightened as much as possible by hand but i am still getting a small drip from elbow , dont want to over tighten as it says not to on tank any ideas .  mike

errr maybe tighten a lttle more it might only need another 1/4 turn.

yer had same prob with tank in Kangoo.... you have to use loads of ptfe tape ... when you think its to much put some more on ;D ;D

I bought some leak and seal in Halfords a couple of years ago when I had a similar problem, still holding out.

i tightened mine just a little more than hand tight and has never leaked. didn`t use ptfe tape

more ptfe, and rememeber to wrap the pfte tape clockwise, thats very important
