Hi
Started on houses for a year , then moved onto hotels in greater manchester for Tudor, then went onto commercial work and became an operations manager for one of the largest nationwide companies looking after everything from north Wales to Scotland with 61 men and £2.5m worth of work.
Made redundant now back on the tools looking to start up myself. 17 when started now 33 very good times along with one bad which was being redundant other than that I love the work. ;D

Started when I was 18 with my mate on a saturday for spending money. That was 39 years ago now but had a proper job for most of the time with just a few spells of part time when I needed a bit extra. But once you can do it its always there so I went back to it again a few years ago full time when other options dried up. I don't know what I would be doing otherwise. Still enjoy the freedom.
-
It will be 20 years on 1/10.
Who's going to bake the cake then? :)
-
;D window cleaning has been good to me many reasons, ;D but it is the freedom that is the best bit about it! ;D :-*
-
First started in 1982 til 1986 when the Mrs asked me to get a proper job :o..so I spent 17 years in foundry work! Went to college in 2004 and learnt plumbing (my poor knees) :(
Have cleaned windows (trad) off and on til 2008 when my step brother introduced me to WFP and this is the life for me from now on

Getting a bit senile now, memory's not what it used to be but I reckon I started about 1965/6 - officially retired in 2009 so that's 43/44 years but still running the business so that makes it 45/46 years ;)
Just been thinking about my early days - hopping about on outside window sills 4 floors up on those old Victorian schools - makes my poor old blood run cold :o
-
I started the year after Mosses played scrum half, rugby for Egypt. ;D ;D
