Title: Indian raw silk with marker pen

Just had a call from a guy whose child has put permanent(is that a clue maybe) marker pen on an occasional chair made of indian raw silk so the question to the clever people is.............any chance of removal or is it put reeboks on and leg it...........all help appreciated as usual...........Alan

You will probably fade it but wont remove totally,what colour is the fabric and what colour marker?

Thats a real hard one because silk isnt the most colourfast fabric in the world and applying any sort of stain remover would probably end up damagin the dye.

Get the customer to sign it off as owners consent but make it clear thats its poop or bust.

I think you would have to use a dye reducing agent on the marker stain but i wouldnt ever use it on silk so try dabbing the stain with a soaked cotton bud first.

other than that you could suggest recovering because buying raw silk isnt that expensive these days.
