hi all
i only have two full size s wands in my arsenal, and a little plastic hand wand.
what tools would you reccomend are needed for the other sections of the business.
i have seen stair wands do you have these or just use a hand tool.
is there a hand tool that will do everything stairs, upholstery edges?

I've got a cfr hand tool for upholstery, and a 4" tool for stairs, which I'd like to upgrade to a more heavy duty 6" tool. I'm sure it was John Kelly who commented a few weeks back that you shouldn't mix your carpet and upholstery tools as nicks in the heads caused by gripper rods etc can cause tears in upholstery, which makes sense.

I bought a low moisture internal spray hand tool for upholstery a while back and its really good. I would like a saphire hand tool or a crf or kleenrite tool, but I can't have everything, not yet anyway. ;D
Next buy will be a stair tool, maybe with a swivel head. I think this will speed things up alot and be a bit kinder on the back.

The kleenrite tool is just lovely to use, you could clean suites all day with that and leaves them dry. Also look at CFR.

The Saphire upholstery tool is amazing i hate upholstery but with this tool its so much easier, i had a Kleenrite and hated the thing. with the Saphire you can do the edge of furniture and have no overspray the best money i ever spent.

John, I could cut and paste my comments from another forum but several other members of that forum would go into meltdown having to read it all again ;D
Maybe I'll email you!

Please don't get Jim started on upholstery tools, he's driven us mad of Truckmounters harping on about it. :'(

I have been using the swivel head carpet stair tool for 5 years now and is one of the best pieces of equipment I have bought, so quick!!!!.
Take some getting used to but great.
Also have 2 prochem upholstery tools and a hydramaster drimaster tool all are good pieces of equipment. The drimaster is my personal favorite but have heard from good sources that the scientific is even better. Found the cfr tool a lot heavier than what I have so do not rate. The prochem tool is the best I have seen on the market for doing piping on upholstery. Also have some external jet tools which rarely get used.
