Just checked my bank account to see who has paid.
I have an £8 customer who always pays on time but today seems to have paid in advance.
197 months, or in other words 16.4 years in advance.
They have just put £1,576.06 into my bank. ;D
Should I tell them? ;D
-
Serious? ;D
-
oops....something tells me they will contact you, wether you tell them or not :D
-
Legally you cant keep it.
Legally as the law stands you have to transfer it to my bank account.
-
Doubt you'll get away with keeping it when the plumber asks the custy where his money is
-
I have just been to see the customer, she was mortified. It seems she paid me instead of her credit card ;D

Cooooool. Well impressed!!! I'd kill for custies like that! In fact, I'd kill for custies that pay!! ;D

I have one who has gone travelling for a year, has rented his place out and paid me for the whole year in advance. Lovely chap !

Now you have a toughy! Do you trust her enough to pay her back immediately or will you pay after three working days when you are sure the money has cleared from her account?

ive had 3 new people very eager to pay up front for 6 months or more - i didnt let them and theyd cancelled by the 3rd clean . whats that about?

I once received a very large cheque that really was meant for the plumber. I posted it back promptly with a covering letter.
The furthest I have been paid up front when it was intentional was six months. It was early days and I cleaned monthly back then. They were going to the USA for six months and one set of parents were staying there but they didn't want me asking them for the money. After they returned, they went to pay me for the clean but I told them that I had only completed five cleans as I got a bit behind in the Winter. They paid me anyway though and called it a late Xmas tip. Top customers. Was sorry to lose them eventually when they moved out to Wiltshire from Sussex.
