Title: Tax allowances

Hey guys - got to that time of year and am looking to fill in a tax return for the first time - was just wondering what I can claim tax allowances for - bought cleaning equip (obviously!) a small pick-up, public liability insurance and flyers, can I clain these as expenses?  ::)

Anything that is a cost to the business. That you wouldnt have as an expense if you weren't trading.

This is the last year u can claim for your van pickup etc all in one go.

Use of room for office, put the wife down for wages allowance, all them phone calls you make & purchase of mobile,
computer equipment, if you are not sure then get in touch with H M R C they are very helpful. Have you looked at a program for doing your tax on, it's called Tax Calc brilliant piece of kit once you get the hang of it. The cost is about £30.00 a year but it is tax deductable. it can be a bit of a minefield, hope this helps. :)

if you use a bicycle to collect your cash from your custys you can claim for bike and also claim 12/15p a mile. ;D ;D ;D ;D


and before you ask yes i do still go collecting :P :P :P

Get yourself a good accountant. They are the ones in the know and it will benefit you in the long run :)
