Those prices are astronomical.  ??? ???

Jesus, I only scanned the page, maybe I missed someting but 500 litres costing £300. Thats a feckin joke. Wheres the profit in that for anyone to earn a living? It dioesnt cost that to buy an RO unit/DI with resin for just one batch.

Whos the rip-off artist selling at those prices? What count!

And as for making out its suitable for laboratories theyre having a laugh. Its window clenaing standard not lab grade  ;D ;D Twonk!

Just taken another look. E-bay use is Lee Piranha, that adds up  ;D

With a feedback score of 0.

Lee, I want 350 litres, what will that cost? £200 ?

Well, how much work would you expect someone to produce with those 350 litres of water?

Its a serious question that Id quite like answered and if you want to make anything selling this stuff you need to ask yourself the same question mate.

If you look on ebay for Deionised water it is being sold at various prices such as Halfords for £5 for 5L etc

Just have a look there are window cleaners selling up north who use this forum and I have used the same prices.

Besides its helpful to give comments which are negative but to insult me from behind a screen hundreds of miles away is not really being a man. Pop down and visit and call me a twonk to my face.

I agree the prices are mad if the water is for window cleaning but the reason for the post was to show that customers are buying this water we use for irons, batteries from Halfords and tescos and we can sell it cheaper. 55p a Litre is for 1000 litres while Halfords sell at £1 per Litre.

I have posted it on ebay costs me nothing and if anyone buys it then I will come back to you if not I have nothing to lose.

Cheers

I wouldn't worry; it would be like me trying to sell a brick for £500.  I can ask for it, but no-one in their right mind is going to give me it.

I would expect 1000L to clean about £350 to £400 worth of work, so you'd have to be absolutely mental to pay £500 for the pure water to do that work with.

It makes me wonder why the seller is even asking that much for it?  I mean I could put a brick up on e-bay for £500, but it'd be a complete waste of time.

I think youre trying to compare a silk purse to a pigs ear mate.

IMHO you're insulting people by thinking that they're stupid enough to part with their cash at the rate you're asking.

So Lee, back to my original question, after shelling out £300 for 500 litres of water, where's the room to make a living after that?
