Title: ADVICE ON A RO FILLTER
Post by: seldaw on September 18, 2011, 11:41:03 am
Hi Can Anyone give me a little advice . I bourgh a 200g per hr RO filter . I have fited it but water seems to be coming out of the waste flush as well as the pure water outlet. Is this normal as it seems to be taking an age to fill the tank. If there is anyone in the Kent area that would be able to have a look at it for me so I know i have installed it correctly I would be grateful.

Cheers
Steve

that is normal i would say 65% waste to 35% pure water at a guess.

as long as it comes out at 000ppm then its working fine.

small RO's realy arent worth the money, i had a 200gpd for about 4 months before i got fed up with the time it was taking to fill my tank.
i now have a 400gpd and it still takes 5 hours to fill 250l

3 : 1 inline resistor. 3 waste to 1 pure from my Roman with 3 x 150 gpd membranes.
