Got a 1200 sq ft dry clean to do on 100% wool carpet and customer is very against the "wet thing". Would like to offer protection as part of the package. What would you recommend? The carpet is tufted by the way

It would do...........
it ain't solvent based

craftex, solvent protector!!!

I would be very wary about spraying solvent protector in any quantity indoors due to H&S concerns . Better help them see the benefits of water bsed . I would recommend protect nano as you only apply 1ltr to approx 20 sq m hence drying times are low.

Any latex in the carpet construction? If so solvent is a no go.

Hi Guys
Pete if there is an adhesive in the constuction then you could swell and damage it, possibly leading to delamination or worse.
I would go water based but use a fine spray, apply lightly brush in then apply and brush again.
This way you will keep water to a minimum and hopefully achieve a good bond, which is key.
I have never found anything that rivallled the old 3M protector but suspect most suppliers buy from one or two main suppliers, so products are likely to be very similar.
Cheers
