What is the biggest price increase you have given, and still kept the customer ?
I ask because I have been looking at buying some work, but I would have double the prices to make it profitable !

the work you value...keep price the same
bad jobs....double the price and gamble...if you get it..great...if not...the job was a bummer anyway!!
one of our partners left back in the early 90's
we didnt have the man power to cover the work...so we chucked up our prices masively
it sifted out the work in a big way...and left us sitting on very well priced jobs
but now days we dont have the work to price this way...there are ten times the amount of window cleaners in our area
which is why i suggest only gambling the jobs you dont mind losing :)

I bought a round a few years back, some of which was horribly under-priced,I increased the prices by 50% and told the customers they are more than welcome to get quotes from other windies, as I can't clean them at the existing prices,I never lost one customer. The bonus is I saved a bit of money,I paid 3 x the clean, following the price increase the round is taking in an extra £150 per clean,=£450.Even if you were to lose a few the round will still increase in value if you buy under-priced work.

bought around off a guy 3 months ago. he contacted me as he worked in same area and was packing it in couldnt make it pay. had a look said no thanks work was priced up so badly and he was trad. Any way he kept pestering me to buy it so in the end felt sorry for him so gave him £100 for £800 monthly work to see if i could make some thing of it. If i could i said i would give him some more money. Have doubled the cost of the cleans of the jobs I know he did because he just left and never showed me the round ? have a book with names thats it.
Best £100 i ever spent worked two days so far for £685 back again monday and still many customers to find........
