A standard gooseneck will screw on to either the Type1 or the Type2 - they are just different shaft diameters to fit different size top sections.

Always there if needed :D (and sometimes when not!)

Which would fit an SLX? Bough a new top section and didn't realise the screw end wouldn't be there.

The Type1 Aluminium screw will fit this section. I take it that the new section you have bought has the new quick release fitting on. This will not only take the alloy fitting, but also the Resi-Necks and the Carbon Goose-necks.

Yes,the new section has a quick release. Cheers for the advise, will have to purchase the alloy I guess. Maybe you could look at some way of letting people know when they are purchasing a top section that they won't have a screw fitting on it just so it doesn't come as a surprise to them.

We usually pop one in the top clamp for free - so you have missed out on this! Ring the Office and they will be happy to pop one in the post to you for free as you have missed out. :)
