as above really, want to have a 2 man set up going to try running it off 1 port (as i dont want to drill into the tank) and have seen that this works for people just wondered if i would need another battery for the other controller. anyone run 2 pumps and controllers of 1 battery.
thanks guys

it will work, but obviously your battery run time will be halfed.
so more charging will be needed.
personaly if i was going this way i would run 2 batteries, that way if it goes flat you dont lose a days work for 2 men.

yes i do,2 controllers,2 pumps the pumps are teed into one feed pipe from the tank, the battery is a car battery and we have no problems

sorry don't agree on that we have noticed no difference in the running time of the battery maybe its the condition of the battery but cant say we noticed any difference

thanks guys..i have a 85ah battery that gets charged every night anyway so that should be fine then..
cheers

how can you not agree, 2 pumps will draw 2X the amount of power.
but that battery will do a day easily for 2 pumps.

i/we have had the same battery on for 4 days and still showing 12.7 amps,it started off at 13.3?
its not being charged by a relay during the day maybe its just a good battery(off a Mondeo diesel) could be luck off the draw? i have a leisure battery all charged and ready to go in the garage just in case ;)
