To all the guys who have the following van....
Where is the best place in your van you've anchored you tank to, to get the best drive...?
FRONT (behind bulkhead)
MIDDLE
BACK(near back door)
Any pics would be a great help???

depends what size tank you have, people with 650ltrs and above right behind the bulkhead need to check that they aint over on there front axle weight. ;)
-
i have a vivaro swb with a flat 650lt tank witch is up to the bulkhead the front suspension comes down by 1 inch and the back comes down by 2 inches and still pulls like a train.

dave that means nothing, get it checked on a axle weight bridge,as your front and rear axle will have a max weight limit. ;)

that's why i went for the flat tank because there is more weight over both axles instead of it being all on the front

note to me self "must read the topic.flat tank"
sorry dave

If it was over the back wheels i would be guessing the steering would feel really light, probably not what you would want as winter is coming up! :o

Hi mate its not over the back wheels if anything its smack in the middle of the van. if it was over the back wheels the back Axel carries more weight anyway so no problem there but when mine is full you can tell the weight is even and that's why i took measurements of the front and back axles to make sure.

I have a 650 upright in a vivaro. The tank is positioned about 12 inches from the bulk head. Varitech professionally installed the system 4 years ago.

The tank will want fixing to more than just the floor so have a look where you can get a fixing in the sub frame, we positioned our 650l flat tank central in our vivaro swb which picked up with some existing holes in the chassis so only had to drill holes in the floor and put some long bolts with eyes through floor and chassis, hope that makes sence?
How do you spell chassis?

I was answering the op's post, about placing the tank at the back of vehicle. If on a swb vivaro the at the back doors would put it over the rear axle.
