Hi Ritchie
What sort of janitorial business are you looking to build.
Are you looking to suppliy offices, schools, factories etc. or are you looking to supply cleaners
that come into your shop.
-
I would sell anything to anybody we all have the perfect little setup but in reality that rarely happens. My cleaning supplier sells the cleaning products but also runs a van going round selling workshop supplies as this achieves better margins than cleaning. He uses Selden, Staples and the cheap n cheerfull own brands for the chemicals

basically at the minute its just going to be a trade counter but we will begin selling to businesses, offices and factories etc and setting up ecommerce the reason we are going for it is we have a unit with a large area of wasted space ideal for a decent sized trade counter, and the numerous problems w3e have encountered having to wait for window cleaning parts to get van back on road if we could help other cleaners with these problems.we have a very good location with good transport networks too chester liverpool and manchester and north wales.
we have to start somewhere and with the winter coming if we can advise other window cleaner and provide items which will help them keep running thru winter times i think it could pay off,it would be massively marketed we wont just be opening door waiting for customers to pop in

It takes a long time, with a lot of money for stock tied up, people come in and want the item straight away, not tomorrow.
We are four years old next month, I couldn't live off my shop yet.
Hard work isn't it dave woods?

Hi Craig
Hard work, but easier than running a cleaning company. :D
-
cheers guys im not expecting it to be easy would you say its worth it though
-
Yes, if you have YOUR money to spend on stock, and you have another business feeding it, as it takes a few years...
I've enjoyed it, I'm now at the stage where I can split CT east Ltd, and what will be Polarbrite Ltd.

Hi Richy
I agree with Craig, it is worth it but you need lots of money for stock.
