I think it was JSM who fitted some to his doors, how did you get on?
Anyone else done it? Ive seen the screwfix one, also theres a hozelock plastic one. Im getting a new tank soon and wont have much room left for reels with my seats up in the combo.

I have three of these reels in my van, 1 on the side and 2 in the back as in the picture. Quick & easy every time. :)

Perfect Terry, just perfect! I use plastic hozelock ones at mo and swear by them, will those hold 100m 6mm do you think?
-
And how well do they fit? And what part did you attach them to on door?
-
matt yes it was john who fitted em to his

The 2 back reels hold 100 metres of 6mm & the side one has 60 metres of 6mm
There are plywood panels on the rear doors & the hozelock brackets are screwed securely on to them. Never had any problems whatsoever and I can still shut the doors. :)

I have to take a leak at least once a day mate, no probs! That's an old photo and it's a lot less cluttered now, I only take the guttervac with me when I have a job booked in.
Out of interest how do you get my picture to show up like that, Is it by using photobucket? ???
-
yes mate i uploaded it then binned it hope you did not mind dave
-
I don't mind at all, Just wanted to know how to do it myself ;D
-
Just sign up to photobucket, its free then copy the link into here ;)

Terry what van do you drive? See your three section ladders how high do the go and how much do they cost. I want a ladder that goes high enough to reach gutters but I don't want to put a roof rack on my van.

The van is a volkswagen transporter T4 (old shape) 2.5tdi - great workhorse, The ladders inside the van are only about 18 foot, not high enough to reach gutters but very handy for getting over gates and onto flat roofs. If you want to clean gutters off ladders (which I do as well) then you will need a roof rack, a decent set of trade ladders - http://www.ladders-999.co.uk/
and a good stability device - Basemate ladder safety leveller :)
