Carpet cleaning is unregulated , anyone can call themselves a carpet cleaner , you can start with a mop and bucket if you wish , up to a 60k van and truck mount set up.

I would advise training , insurance and lots of reading on forums (dont believe most of what you read though)

It's going to be a long weekend...

Anyway,Clean It All - have you given any consideration as to which method of cleaning carpets you want to use? Also, if we knew more about your situation, I'm sure you'd get more constructive help?

Hi

I'll start a sensible one, seeing as the others all semm to be 'on something'  ;D

You don't NEED a certificate but the training really does help, as it goes intocarpet chemistry, burn test, solutions etc, prochem, NCCA and others do 1 day courses (they can be boring) but you will learn a lot. I do both (Cleaning + CC) and my clients like they get both from one contractor.

Other than that, welcome to the nut house, they're all as mad as a box of frogs on here  ;D
