hi
bit of advice please, when you have 2inch vac inlet are you best to stay in 2inch hose for as long as you can on a run of hose and just drop to 1.5 for last 10 feet.
or is there advantage to dropping to 1. 5 earlier like for moving about bedrooms etc.
is there much drop in lift if you extend the 1.5 sections?
cheers

Best not to drop to 1.5" you soon get used to working with 2" I only use a whip to go on stair tool or hand tools for upholstery.

On the other hand......................
Some wands and some upholstery / stair tools are fairly heavy in use and most operators NEVER CONSIDER THE POTENTIALDAMAGE THEY'RE DOING TO THEIR BODIES when working in this industry.
There's no point in " being a man " and acting tough if you will be crippled with arthritis or other spinal problems later ( maybe SOONER rather than later )
MAKE YOUR WORKING WITH TOOLS AS COMFORTABLE AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN.
You will notice no difference whatsoever if you drop to one and a half for the last couple of metres.
Simplest way is to chamfer the edge of the smaller cuff which will fit snuggly into the two inch.
The reality of the above has hit me very hard recently ..............
