Title: velvet suite

Hi, I have been asked to clean a velvet suite. I havn't cleaned one before.
It says on the care lable to dry clean only but not to use solvents. I was thinking of using fibre shampoo (prochem). The suite is cream and very grubby.
I have told the customer I may not be able to get all marks out but there happy for me to go ahead anyway.
I feel using this method dosn't look very professional.
Any tips on how to approach the cleaning of the suite?

is it a true velvet?
have you tested the fabric?
