just got a new clx with the soft yellow pole hose. will it cope with hot water as i have a fog wash on its way

i dont think so, as not of gardiners stuff is designed to be used with how, try filling ur tank with a bit of hot water and run that through and see what happens

I've used gardiners pole hose with hot water & it worked fine. Some brands of minibore & microbore don't like hot though,...

The last I got was about 4 months ago,.. has it changed since then?

It will work fine as long as you don't have the quick release neck. The hose might expand a little but then most other PVC hoses would as well.
If you have the quick release neck then hose will pop out of the John Guest fitting if you have the water very hot. That is fixed by either changing the John Guest fitting (shame to change this as it's really good) or changing to a PU hose like aqua adapter. Hope this helps.

you can also get tube inserts from aqua-dapter which stop the hot hose popping out of the john guest fittings. ;)

Who does minibore hose that will accept hot water, or what do you suggest? Got some replacement minibore from Gardiners but they only recommend it with cold. It's nice hose for cold.

I use brodex heavy duty microbore but 8mm for hot. Not as nice as gardiners is for cold but it doesn't stretch or blow up too much. A down side is that it's also very supple so that when driven over it will stop the flow. Got it from these guys.

To be honest I'm still waiting for someone to develop the perfect hose for hot, I would look at a hose that doesn't turn into an elastic band or expand at all, also doesn't loose too much heat and remains reasonably rigid. I think PU would be a good material to be used in the construction.
