how long is a piece of string
-
show us the bay window and we'll price it.
-
gound floor bay = £1.50
1st flr = £2.00
but there are a few variables involved here, but this is a good guide i find
-
I dont bother pricing up per window ... was a hassle to be honest.
Now i just look at the job, figure out in my head how long it will take, stick my finger in the air and add £1 to the price i was thinking ;D
-
£2 first floor, £1 ground trad
-
£2 first floor, £1 ground trad
that is too little.
£2 down and £3 up will still sell pretty well anywhere in the country. I would guess you find work easy to come by. With a price like that you can come and do mine.
Give yourself, and the rest of us a break and bump it up a little.

how long is a piece of string
as long as the picture above your comment
-
As I have a minimum charge of £15 for new work, for that one bay £15.
If it is one of more on a house, like Blue Frog, I look to see what the value of the property is as a whole. Always working in £5 increments.

i am with blue frog this is how i price all my work

twice its length measured from centre to end ;D

It depends on how much is unravelled prior to cutting it off the bundle.
-
I charge 4.50 euro for bay windows similar to that shown ... trad, including frames, ground floor or 1st floor.
John.
-
£1000
-
Same here don't count windows anymore ... 50p a minute = 30quid an hour
-
about £3
-
it all depends where the bay is...if its summer bay in oz then you need to take into account the flight costs, hotels, car hire etc so lets say 5k? 8)
if the bay is just round the corner from me then 5 quid. ;D
-
As part of a larger job about £3 Depends what else there is to do. I use the same pricing method as blue frog apart from very large jobs where I still count up.
Often if a job is between two I do for example then ivmight charge a little less
-
Same here don't count windows anymore ... 50p a minute = 30quid an hour
but if you have 2 £15 jobs technicaly it will take longer than an hour as there is travel/walking and setup/pack away between jobs. on my best jobs i aim to hit more than £30 hour to cover the travel time
-
Ian and Blue frog get my vote on this :)
But i would say £2.50 for that bay i use to count the big and little pane above as one piece; at 50p
so 5x50p=£2.50.
But Ian's right 50p a minute (i still under price abit now :'( )
But if you do the house a few time's and explain to the custy you tried but price needs to go up; i usually get away with it as long as it's only a few pound.

Honestly this place is gettin worse. How do people expect to be taken seriously when they can't even price up a window? Next we'll have posts asking 'what's best? Trad or wfp?' Or 'how much an hour can I make if I use 100m of hose compared to 50m?' Some posts on here are bordering on the kind of stuff you expect to see on cbeebies
